Derek Wolfgram,
mr. SESQUICENTENNIAL

Derek Wolfgram has served as the Director of Redwood City Public Library for the past two years.  He and his wife Robin loved Redwood City so much, they made it their permanent home in September of 2016. Of course, being a librarian, he moved to Dewey Street (get it? Dewey Decimal?!?) and promptly installed a Little Free Library in the front yard. Derek is a dog lover and supporter of animal rescue organizations, a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, and an award winning home-brewer. The Redwood City Public Library Staff know that he will do whatever it takes to encourage Redwood City’s kids to develop a lifelong enjoyment of reading and learning. Derek is a 2016 graduate of the Redwood City-San Mateo County Leadership program, serves on the Chamber Education Committee, actively participates in the steering committee for Redwood City Together (a welcoming initiative of Redwood City 2020), and enjoys the opportunity for the Library to partner with dozens of other community organizations for the benefit of our community.
